Scandalous Style

This past summer I became completely obsessed with the strange reality TV world of Dance Moms, a show based around crazed stage moms letting their daughters be everything short of physically harmed to let the so called brilliant choreographer Miss Abby Lee Miller make their bratty little daughters into super stars. However, Miller has recently found herself under a bit of a scandal and is indicted on fraud charges.

This isn't the first scandal Miller has gotten herself into. Every week she puts her juvenile dancers in highly controversial costumes. Here's a few of my personal favorite style scandals.

1. The topless show girl outfits. On this episode Abby truly lost touch with whatever sense of reality she had left and dressed her group of prepubescent girls in outfits meant to look like topless dancers with only feathers to cover up their "naked" bodies. This dance was so controversial that it only aired once and hasn't been repeated or put online to watch.

2. The Electricity dance costumes. This time Abby dressed up a trio of her dancers in jazz outfits with very minimal fabric and ridiculously over-the-top hair and makeup.

3. The texting and driving dance. I think Abby had a great idea and message to make with this dance, but watching little Mackenzie covered in fake blood in her mini prom dress was truly disturbing to look at.
